She was listed as a resident in the census report in Bald Eagle, Clinton Co., PA, 1840.⁽⁵²⁶⁾ Her marriage to William was conducted by the Rev. N.J. Mitchell (01409:7). ________________________Additional Census Information 1840 lists her as age group under 5 (01431). __________________________For Additional Information See the Clinton Democrat of February 13, 1857 (01409:7). __________________________Further Research Required The year of Martha's marriage to William is noted as 1857 in source 00838:23 and 1863 in source 01409:7. The reference to the Clinton Democrat (see below) may be due to that paper's containing some type of announcement regarding the wedding, which would be reasonable within five days of a wedding. Speaking of weddings, it is also stated in both sources 00838:23 and 01409:7 that she may have had a second marriage to a man by the name of O'Connels. Neither source gives a first name and both have question marks beside the notations. It should also be noted that 00838:23 has an alternate spelling of the surname, both Maybee and Mayby appear.
