254. Chester Haagen⁵ McGhee (Oscar⁴, James³, Elizabeth² Linn, Andrew¹)⁽¹⁶⁰⁴⁾ was born in Beech Creek, Clinton Co., PA October 7, 1897. Chester died February 14, 1990 at 92 years of age. His body was interred in Beech Creek, Clinton Co., PA.

He married Emma Peters September 18, 1926.⁽¹⁶⁰⁵⁾ Emma was born in Beech Creek, Clinton Co., PA July 22, 1904. Emma⁽¹⁶⁰⁶⁾ was the daughter of George Peters. Emma died January 5, 1980 at 75 years of age. Her body was interred in Beech Creek, Clinton Co., PA. Chester and Emma were married by the Reverend Conrad L. Bluhm of Mill Hall Presbyterian Church. Chester, presumably alongside his wife Emma, is buried in the Hays-Fearon Cemetery. (01409:20)

--- Further Research Required --- Source 01409:30 lists an additional child by the name of James McCloskey McGhee, who lives (as of January, 1995) in Dunnstown, Pennsylvania. However, the record is not formatted like others and thus there is a question as to whether or not he was really a child of Chester and Emma. Brian Linn thought that John Johnstonbaugh might know but he wasn't certain. Mr. Johnstonbaugh did, however, recall reading about this child in either Emma's or Chester's obituary. ⁽¹⁶⁰⁷⁾
