Apparently, son Raymond was adopted and died at a very young age (00785). Letha Linn has mentioned this to Brian Linn several times in addition to the above noted telephone conversation. G.F. resided in Piper City, Ill in January of 1926 (01365). __________________________Further Research Required On the back of an old family photo (#85) Lois has a second name of Paltore while Raymond has a second name of Linn. Is it possible that Lois was also adopted (perhaps at an older age) and, therefore, continued to use her parents name? In answer to this question Brian Linn spoke with Letha Linn and she mentioned that indeed each Uncle of Hazels (Gird & Gene) adopted a boy but there was never any mention of girls: also, she recalls that the boys died young (01372). The 1870 census didn't copy well and isn't really all that easy to read. It lists a G.W., or perhaps Gordon W. as a female. Certainly the name Gordon is masculine; this is likely a recording error on the part of the person taking the census since it is in conflict with all other information known, including the first hand knowledge provided by Letha Linn (00840); however, it is something that should be noted.
Gordon 'Gird' F. Linn and Stell Unknown had the following children:
314 i. Raymond5 Linn(1042).
315 ii. Lois Linn(1043).
