Mary E. Linn's death certificate lists her as widowed. Apparently, she had been in the hospital for 1 year, 9 months and 10 days. Her last permanent address was 1131 Glendon Way, South Pasadena, California. E. A. Doane, M.D., signed the death certificate and listed the cause of death as ?yocardial degeneration with arterial sclerosis (arteriesclerosis on certificate); other contributing factors were listed but they are difficult to decipher. She died at the Camarille State Hospital and is buried in Glen Haven Memorial Park. (00787) ___________________________Further Research Required Glen Haven Park is probably in Ventura county, California, but this must be verified.
Benjamin's occupation: Farmer/Machinist. He resided in Greenfield, Adiar Co., IA August 1887.(446) He resided October 25, 1912.(447) Apparently, Frank Linn died of Cerebral hemorrhage (spelled hemmerhage on certificate) with Arterial (Arterio) Sclerosis (Scleresis) as a contributory cause of importance. Death occured at 11:05 a.m. and he had been under treatment for three days starting April 5th. His son Glenn of Perry Iowa was the informant. The age recorded was 79 years, 6 months and 10 days. The certificate notes that he was separated at the time of his death though still married to Mary Eliz. Linn. He died at the Pike County Hospital. (00786) __________________________Further Research Required The age on the death certificate (00786) is inconsistent with the 1854 birthdate noted in the a of the family bible (00838:19). In addition, he is buried in a place called Riverview, which may be the name of a town, but more likely a cemetery (00786).

141 i. Glenn4 Linn(448) was born in Council Bluffs, Pottowattamie Co, IA March 8, 1891. Glenn died November 30, 1962 in Perry, Dallas Co., IA, at 71 years of age. His body was interred December 3, 1962 in Perry, Dallas Co., IA. Glenn participated in the R3 Citizenship event in USA. Glenn's occupation: Engineer: Train. He was baptized March 11, 1917. Glenn Linn's delayed birth certificate was made on October 30, 1941 and lists his address, at that time, as 523 Warford, Peryy, Iowa. The abstract of supporting evidence was comprised of an ID Card (March 8, 1918), a voting record (October 30, 1941), and a Baptismal Record (March 11, 1917). The ID Card listed his age as 27 years. (00791) Glenn Linn's death certificate listed his address as 523 Warford noting this to be within city limits; he had been a resident of Perry for 50 years. His place of death was inside city limits and he never served in the armed forces. The cause of death is difficult to read. The first word may begin with "Cerebr...." and the second word is definitely hemorrhage. The interval between onset and death was 1 week. His physician attended him from 1949 until his death which occurred after noon (precise time obscured: original is probably legible) on November 30th at Dallas County Hospital. The doctor's name is hard to decipher: Robert F. "Dus...", M.D. of Perry, Iowa. He is buried in Violet Hill Cemetery. (00793)
+ 142 ii. Harold Linn was born July 19, 1893.
143 iii. Donald Vernon Linn(449) was born in Council Bluffs, Potawattamie Co., IA October 15, 1895. Donald died January 4, 1967 in Los Altos, Santa Clara Co., CA, at 71 years of age. Donald Linn's delayed birth certificate was attested to and signed by his mother (Mary E. Linn) on May 31, 1941. Her age is listed as 71 years and she resided at Rimrock, Yavapia County, Arizona. The person attending at the birth, which was at 812 20th Avenue, was Mrs. Mollitor. Mary Linn stated that both parents were white. Frank Benjamin Linn (father) was 39 years old and a machinist at the time of birth; Mary E. Linn was 26 years old and a housewife at the time of birth. The following items were presented as supporting evidence. Photostatic Copy: Honorable discharge from U.S. Army March 20, 1919. Photostatic Copy: Life insurance policy February 18, 1925 Photostatic Copy: Operator's License September 15, 1938 In addition to the above, Mary states that she is the mother of Donald Vernon Linn. (00796) Donald Linn's death certificate listed his social security number as 569-44- 8655H and noted that he was a veteran of WWI. His wife, Sally Linn, was the informant and she stated her occupation as homemaker. The certificate states that he had lived in Santa Clara county for 8 years and in California for 43 years. The name of coroner was John ??????? of 751 So. Bascom, San Jose and he signed the certificate January 5, 1967. The cause of death was arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease and he died at 39 Pine Lane at 1:55 P.M. His parents are listed as Benjamin Linn, born in Penn, and Mary E. Macke (Linn), born in USA. Brian Linn believes her name was spelled Mackey because she apparently found that acceptable on Donald's birth certificate which bears her signature. He is buried in San Gabriel Cemetery. (00798)
144 iv. Howard Foley Linn(452) was born in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co, IA January 20, 1902. Howard died January 6, 1930 in Phoenix, Maricopa Co., AZ, at 27 years of age. His body was interred January 7, 1930 in Flagstaff, Ariz. Howard's occupation: Mechanic.
Howard Linn's birth certificate lists his name as "unnamed Lynn." It is Howard's nephew, Franklin B. Linn, who notes that this unnamed child is Howard. The parents are listed as F.C. Lynn and Mary Mackey. Brian Linn believes the father's middle intial should have been B as is stated on other sources. It is strange that the mother's maiden name is listed and not her married name of Linn. (00799) His death certificate notes that he lived at 22nd Ave & Buckeye Road and that he had been a resident of Phoenix for 5 years. He was listed a single and employed by Amour & Company. Mary M. Linn was the informant and the parents are listed as Frank Linn, born in Penn, and Mary Macke, born in Jackson Mo. Note that on the death certificate is requested maiden name of mother not married name. Mary M. Linn listed her address as Flagstaff. He as attended by a physician between Dec. 20th and January 6, 1930 and died of Epidemic Cerebro Spinal Meningitis. No operation preceded death and no autopsy was performed.
