165. Edward Elry⁴ Linn (Joseph M.³, James A.², Andrew¹)⁽¹³³¹⁾ was born in Beech Creek, Clinton Co., PA October 22, 1871.⁽¹³³²⁾ Edward died October 6, 1942 in Beech Creek, Clinton Co., PA, at 70 years of age.⁽¹³³³⁾ His body was interred in Blanchard, Centre Co., PA.⁽¹³³⁴⁾

He married Minnie Misouri Furl.⁽¹³³⁵⁾ Minnie was born 1875.⁽¹³³⁶⁾ Minnie⁽¹³³⁷⁾ was the daughter of Jane Unknown. Minnie died 1956 at 81 years of age.⁽¹³³⁸⁾ Her body was interred in Blanchard, PA.⁽¹³³⁹⁾

Edward's occupation: Engineer.

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Linn, two sons and two daughters, of New Brighton, Pa., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Edward Linn, stopping off while motoring throught eastern Pennsylvania. (00838:53) Celebrations ruled the day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Linn, Fairview Street, this borough, Sunday, the date marking the anniversary of the births of Mr. Linn and his sister, Mrs. Mattie Hoffman and the seventh anniversary of the marriage of Mr. Linn's son, Russell J. Linn and Larne Burd Linn. (00838:54) It was a happy occasion with a family reunion and two bountiful dinners, at the noon hour and in the evening: those present were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Linn, son, Robert, and daughter, Miss Jane; Mr. and Mrs. Russell J. Linn and son, William; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Heverly, son, Lynn and daughters, Beatrice, Jean, Joan and Janice, and Mrs. Jane Furl, mother of Mrs. Edward Linn all of Beech Creek. Mrs. Hoffman, daughter and grandson, William Heil and two daughters, Katherine and Elmira, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Potts, daughter Cynthia, and son Norman, Miss Reeme, Miss Pennypacker of Lewsitown. (00838:54) Edward was the Chief Engineer at General Refactories for 30 years (01409:13).
