I was born 24 November 1977 in San Jose, Santa Clara, California. I was the only baby born that day in the Alexian Brothers Hospital, it was Thanksgiving. My parents are Rustico deLeon Tiapson and Linda Marie Linn Tiapson. My family lived in San Jose for five years after I was born. We then moved to Willits, Mendocino, California. There, in January of 1986, at age eight, I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am seventh generation Mormon on my mom's side. In 1987 we moved to Soulsbyville, Tuolumne, California for my dad's job. After a year we moved to Jamestown, Tuolumne, California, where we currently live. I graduated eighth grade from Jamestown Elementary school and twelfth grade from Sonora High School in June 1995. All through school, starting in second grade, I was involved in GATE (Gifted And Talented Education) and honors classes. I was salutatorian of my eighth grade class and twelfth in a senior class of 330. My junior year I served as Junior Class Treasurer and my senior year as Student Body Secretary. During my junior and senior years I was active in many clubs and organizations. My senior year I participated in the school choir. At church I have held many positions, graduated from four years of seminary, and participated in the choir. I have two brothers and one sister. After my dad was baptized in 1992 we were able to be sealed in the Oakland California temple on 21 April 1995 as an eternal family. Both my older sister and brother are married with children. My younger brother is a senior in high school. I received a four year academic scholarship from Brigham Young University that pays half my tuition. I also received several local scholarships from my high school. I am now a sophomore at BYU in Provo, Utah. I am majoring in Elementary Education, possibly to teach the handicapped. I took my first sign language class as a senior in high school and loved it. I am now taking ASL classes at BYU. Someday I will be sealed in the Oakland California temple and start a family of my own. I hope to have at least six children. I love to have fun. I'm not much of a homemaker, but I am trying to develop those skills (cooking, sewing). I love music and dancing. I also enjoy going for walks.
