She married Hiawatha Samuel "Hi" Davis in Piper City, Ford Co., IL, January 29, 1896.⁽⁹⁵⁹⁾ Hiawatha was born in So Salem, Ross Co., OH January 4, 1857.⁽⁹⁶⁰⁾ Hiawatha⁽⁹⁶¹⁾ was the son of Joseph Davis and Rebecca J. McKinsey. Hiawatha died February 13, 1944 in Piper City, Ford Co., IL, at 87 years of age.⁽⁹⁶²⁾ His body was interred in Piper City, Ford Co., IL, Brenton Cemetery.⁽⁹⁶³⁾ Hiawatha's occupation: Farmer in Ford Co., IL.⁽⁹⁶⁴⁾ He resided in Ford Co, IL October 1857.⁽⁹⁶⁵⁾ Memories shared by Roger Leiser: Aunt Jen shook her head up and down and was more positive than Aunt Bell. If Aunt Jen visited on Saturday and Roger's mother was sewing, she reminded her that if she didn't finish it on Saturday, she couldn't sew on Sunday because it was against the Bible.
