John Donald⁶ Becker (Myrtle Lucille⁵ Opperman, Irene May⁴ Linn, John C.³, Thomas², Andrew¹) was born in Onarga, Iroquois Co., IL May 16, 1920.⁽²⁹²¹⁾ John died January 6, 1952 in Hayward, Alameda Co., CA, at 31 years of age.⁽²⁹²²⁾ His body was interred in Onarga, Iroquois Co., IL, Onarga Cemetery.⁽²⁹²³⁾

He married Elaine Nadine Self in Chicago, Cook Co., IL, December 23, 1939.⁽²⁹²⁴⁾ Elaine was born in Ellis, Ellis Co., KS June 6, 1921.⁽²⁹²⁵⁾ Elaine is the daughter of Luther Self and Gladys Furbeck. Elaine was divorced from David Byrd Harrison.⁽²⁹²⁶⁾ Elaine was divorced from Robert Parks 1979.⁽²⁹²⁷⁾ Elaine's occupation: tax office worker 1979-1986.⁽²⁹²⁸⁾ While giving the data for the John Donald Becker branch of the Linn Family, Nadine remarked that it took her on a sentimental journey to a time long ago when she used to visit her husband's parents, John and Myrtle Becker, and his aunts, uncles and cousins. She remembers the Beckers as being a close knit family and the most loving, kind people she has ever known. She always felt so lucky to have such wonderful in-laws. ⁽²⁹²⁹⁾
